Terms of Service

Last updated: 7 July 2026

These terms apply when you use foliascore (the marketing site at foliascore.com and the application at app.foliascore.com). By creating an account or otherwise using foliascore, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy — together, the agreement between us.

1. Who runs foliascore

foliascore is operated by FOLIASCORE PTE. LTD. (UEN 202623136N), a Singapore private limited company. You can reach us at hello@foliascore.com.

2. Beta status

foliascore is currently in free private beta. That means the product is still being built: features may change or break, data may be incomplete or delayed, and there is no service-level agreement or uptime guarantee. Don't rely on foliascore as your only financial record. Keep your own copies of anything you need for tax or accounting.

3. Your account

You can create an account using your email address or your Google account. You're responsible for keeping access to your sign-in method secure. Don't share your account with people outside your business; if you need multi-user access, that's planned for a future tier. You must be at least 18 years old to use foliascore.

4. What foliascore does

foliascore connects to your Etsy shop through Etsy's OAuth, pulls your orders, listings, fees, refunds, and ad spend, and shows you a real Etsy P&L. foliascore is read-only: it never creates, edits, or deletes anything in your Etsy shop — not your listings, prices, inventory quantities, or orders. foliascore also lets you log other business expenses and track inventory, and export to Google Sheets if you choose. It does not file your taxes, replace your accountant, or move money on your behalf.

5. Plans and fees

foliascore is free during the beta and no payment details are collected. When paid plans launch, payments will be handled by Stripe, and a separate billing and refund policy will apply — we'll publish it and give you notice before any plan you're on starts charging. Nothing in these terms obliges you to pay anything during the beta.

6. Data from Etsy and Google

The shop, listing, order, and financial data foliascore shows you is derived from Etsy's API and is subject to Etsy's API Terms of Use; the dashboard spreadsheets are created via Google's Drive/Sheets API and subject to Google's terms. foliascore caches Etsy content only within Etsy's permitted limits, never uses your shop, order, or buyer data to train AI/ML models, and never markets to your buyers. Etsy and Google may change, rate-limit, or revoke API access at any time; foliascore is not liable for downstream sync effects, and you remain bound by Etsy's and Google's own terms, to which foliascore is not a party.

7. Acceptable use

foliascore is built for humans using a browser to manage their own Etsy shop. The following are the rules that govern how you may use it. Violating them can result in suspension or termination under section 13 below.

  • No automation or scraping. Don't use bots, scripts, headless browsers, or any automation to access foliascore (the only automation foliascore expects is its own integrations, such as Etsy webhooks). Don't scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from foliascore. Don't manipulate request rates to circumvent rate limits.
  • One account per business. Don't run multiple foliascore accounts for the same person or business without prior written permission.
  • No attacking the service. Don't reverse-engineer or decompile foliascore, probe for vulnerabilities without responsible disclosure (to report one, email hello@foliascore.com — that's encouraged), bypass technical limits, or upload anything malicious.
  • Only process data you're authorised to process. Don't use foliascore to manage another seller's Etsy shop without their authorisation, process buyer personal data beyond what you already handle as the seller, or handle data that's restricted by law or contract.
  • Respect Etsy's rules. Don't use Etsy buyer data accessed through foliascore to send marketing emails, add buyers to mailing lists, or do anything that requires buyer consent you don't have. Don't try to retain Etsy content past Etsy's caching limits (6 hours for listings, 24 hours for other content) — foliascore enforces this, but don't try to work around it.
  • No abusing the service. Don't resell foliascore as your own product or as a managed service without a written agreement. Don't interfere with other users. No spam, harassment, illegal content, or using foliascore to build a competing product by cloning it.
  • Be honest at signup. No fake business names, misrepresenting your country (especially to evade sanctions), or payment methods that aren't legally yours.
  • Don't remove the Etsy attribution. Etsy's API Terms require foliascore to display a specific attribution string. Don't remove, hide, or obscure it wherever it appears on foliascore.com or app.foliascore.com.

8. Your content and data

You own your data. We store and process it solely to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can delete your account by emailing us, which removes your data on the timeline described in that policy.

9. Intellectual property

The foliascore name, logo, software, designs, and content belong to FOLIASCORE PTE. LTD. You don't get any rights to them beyond using the service as intended. Open-source components we ship are governed by their own licences.

10. Service availability and changes

We do our best to keep foliascore online, but we don't promise uninterrupted service — this is a beta, and maintenance windows happen. The product evolves, so we may add, change, or remove features. Etsy and Google occasionally change their APIs, which can cause temporary sync delays or gaps; we work around these as fast as we can but can't guarantee timeliness or completeness of synced data.

11. Disclaimers

foliascore is a tool, not professional accounting or tax advice. The numbers it shows are based on what Etsy and Google report and what you enter; review them with your accountant before relying on them for tax filings. The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, except where local law says otherwise.

This application is solely provided by FOLIASCORE PTE. LTD (the "Application Developer"). You acknowledge that Etsy, Inc. and its affiliates are not the Application Developer, do not provide the application service, and make no warranties of any kind with respect to the application or data accessed through it. Any questions or claims about foliascore are between you and us; reach us at hello@foliascore.com.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, foliascore's total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you have actually paid to use foliascore — which, during the free beta, is zero. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages. We'll update this clause when paid plans launch, alongside the billing and refund policy.

13. Termination

You can stop using foliascore at any time by deleting your account. We can suspend or end accounts that breach these terms (including the acceptable use rules in section 7), that pose a risk to other users or our infrastructure, or where an upstream provider (such as Etsy or Google) requires it. For security attacks, payment fraud, or violations involving children or sanctions, we will skip the warning and proceed directly to termination plus a report to relevant authorities or to Etsy/Google. Where reasonable, we'll let you know first and give you a chance to fix the problem. If your account was terminated and you believe it was a mistake, email hello@foliascore.com within 30 days — include the account email and your explanation, and you'll get a response within 10 business days.

14. Governing law and disputes

foliascore is operated by FOLIASCORE PTE. LTD. (UEN 202623136N), a Singapore private limited company.

These terms are governed by Singapore law. If something goes wrong, talk to us first — write to hello@foliascore.com and you'll get a response within 10 business days; we'll try in good faith to resolve any dispute directly by email. If we genuinely can't sort it out between us, disputes go to the courts of Singapore. Nothing here overrides mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live — if the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts, that right stands.

15. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that affects your rights, we'll email active users before the change takes effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
